(Nashville, TN)  --  An in-depth look at Metro Animal Care and Control says there was no intentional misconduct in how employees handled dog fighting complaints.

An investigation was launched in April following the discovery of a dog fighting operation in Bordeaux that resulted in 38 animals being recovered from two addresses.  According to the audit released Wednesday, dispatchers need more training and additional officers need to be hired so animal cruelty cases can be tracked faster.  The audit also suggests officers keep better documentation of which calls they go to.
