Posted June 24th, 2014 @ 5:47pm by News Center

(Franklin, TN)  --  Franklin's first property tax increase since 1987 will likely be approved tonight.

Mayor Ken Moore and city alderman are scheduled to hold their third and final vote at City Hall.  The increase has been backed unanimously through the first two readings.  If it's approved, the city's property tax rate will go from 37-cents per 100-dollars to 40-cents.
