NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Nashville police are searching for a 16-year-old girl last seen getting into a car and driving away from her neighborhood.

Metro Police Capt. Gordon Howey told The Tennessean there's no immediate indication that Karla Hernandez-Santiago is in danger, but officers are erring on the side of caution during the search.

Police have used a helicopter and search dogs to try to find Hernandez-Santiago, but there has been no trace of her since Tuesday afternoon.

Howey says Hernandez-Santiago has no cellphone or change of clothes and has made no known contact with friends or family. Howey says the case has the hallmarks of a runaway teen, but he can't be certain that's what happened.

Hernandez-Santiago was last seen in mustard-yellow pants and a light-blue T-shirt.
