NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Most of Tennessee's major cities are having a wet July. The excess moisture is causing infestations of mosquitoes.

Chattanooga is nearly four inches ahead in rainfall so far in July, recording 7.78 inches so far _ more than twice as much as average.

Nashville has received 6.09 inches, which is also more than twice the usual amount.

In Knoxville, 6.69 inches of rain has fallen this month, which is two and a half inches higher than usual.
