We have received reports that there has been a shooting near the Columbia State Community College campus. It has been reported that the shooting happened in the 1000 block of Lindsey Drive Wednesday afternoon.
As of right now, we have learned that one person was shot in the head, but no other details have been released.
Officials from Columbia State Community College were made aware of the shooting and have placed the school under a lockdown as a precaution.
Campus officials also have said that all day classes at all campuses were canceled for the rest of the afternoon and a decision will be made later today about evening classes.
