Summertime heat pushes out of the mid-west today, with temperatures already in the mid 80s by 9am.  It's gonna be a hot day.

A trough will push south out of the Ohio Valley today, and that will set up the possibility for strong storms across a large part of Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Where the SPC has placed a "Moderate Risk" for severe storms.

Eventually that will dive south.  But very strong high pressure at the surface will be difficult to break down, so rain chances will be relatively small across middle Tennessee, however if a storm should form, it would have the potential to become strong.

Forecast highs today:

Tonight... A 20 percent chance for storms after 1am.. 75.

Thursday... A 30 percent chance for showers and storms...86.
