Tennessee will soon be home to the biggest convenience store in the world.

Buc-ee's Family Travel Center, the favorite pit stop on many road trips, plans to open its biggest location ever in Sevierville, surpassing its current world-record holder store in New Braunfels, Texas. Officials will break ground on the location later this week to begin construction on the 74,000-square-foot development, per FOX 17.

The 200-acre development, also called "The 407: Gateway to Adventure, is located at Exit 407 in Sevierville and will be set to welcome travelers from all over as they arrive to the Smoky Mountains, according to WATE.

"It is not a coincidence that we chose The 407 as our first big store location outside of Texas," said Stan Beard, director of Real Estate for Buc-ee's. "We will be the proverbial 'welcome sign' at the front door of the exceptional travel experience that the Smoky Mountains, Sevierville, and Sevier County has to offer."

During its first full year of operation, the store is expected to bring in 6.7 million visitors. Developers also are exploring the possibility of adding a world-class golf attraction, go-cart facility and a distillery experience, the news outlet reports.

In addition to the convenience store, the Sevierville location will feature 120 fueling stations, EV Charging stations and a car wash that is over 250 feet long.

The world's largest convenience store is expected to open in 2023.

Buc-ee's broke ground on its first location in Tennessee earlier this year in Crossville. The Texas-based chain is known for its vast inventory of goods and food, including fresh Texas-style barbecue and "Beaver nuggets," as well as its pristine bathrooms.
