Last weekend during Urban Fight Night 24 in Milsons Point, Sydney, Australia, a light heavyweight championship fight ended in ghastly fashion.
It was a fight between Dean Maxwell and Randal Rayment.
Apparently Rayment’s got some serious power in his leg kicks because 20 seconds into the light he connected with Maxwell’s calf.
The kick cause Maxwell’s leg to instantly buckle when he tried to plant on it. Basically his leg snapped.
The fight was waved off with Rayment declared the victor.
The fight said that Maxwell suffered an injury to his fibula and tibia and underwent surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery in six months and hopes to be training again in three months.
Reminiscent of the late-Corey Hill's nasty leg break in the UFC.
