From Rasmussen, with no hurricanes making US landfall this year and Bill Gates pulling the plug on global warming, 62% of American Adults consider it likely that climate change is causing more extreme weather, including more hurricanes. Has the climate change conditioning finally taken hold?
Not a single hurricane has made landfall in the United States this year, but most Americans still suspect climate change is making storms more severe.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds:
o 26% of American Adults think this year’s hurricane season has been more severe than in previous years,
o 25% say it has been less severe.
o 32% believe this year’s hurricane season is about the same as previous years and 17% are not sure.
Last October, 19% believed the 2024 hurricane season was more severe than previous years.
