According to the most recent Rasmussen report, just 21% of American Adults plan to travel away from home this holiday season. That's down from 26% in 2022. Is it really because of less travel or more so that families want to have their festivities at home?
Barely one-in-five Americans are planning to travel for the holidays, but one-third expect visits from friends and family.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds:
o Just 21% of American Adults plan to travel away from home this holiday season – down from 26% in 2022
o While 71% don’t expect to travel for this year’s holidays
Forty percent have friends or relatives traveling to their home to visit this holiday season, down from 40% in 2022.
Fifty-seven percent (57%) do not expect holiday visitors this year.
