NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — FOX 17 News is in a Code Red weather alert for the enhanced risk of tornadoes, heavy rain and damaging winds.
A Monday morning update increased the possibility of tornadoes and more of the area under an "Enhanced Risk" for severe storms.
The main threats remain damaging winds, heavy rain and a few tornadoes.
A larger portion of the midstate is now under a greater threat for tornadoes. With some areas in a 10 percent risk and others in a 5 percent risk.

Timing
Storms will develop in the west Monday afternoon and won't be seen in the midstate until Monday evening. All storms should be out of the area by Election Day morning.
- 5-8 p.m. - West of I-40 in areas of Dickson, Camden, Paris, Clarksville and Hopkinsville, Ky.
- 8 p.m. to Midnight - In the central midstate, I-65 and I-840. Includes areas of Nashville, Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Columbia, Lawrenceburg, Faeytteville, Linden, Centerville, Fayetteville and Bowling Green, Ky.
- Midnight to 3 a.m. - West of I-850 including areas f Cookeville, McMinville, Crossville, Tullahoma, Winchester and Tompkinsville.
