Republican Marsha Blackburn projected to win Tennessee Senate Race

FOX News has projected that Republican Marsha Blackburn will become the first female U.S. Senator in Tennessee history.

Blackburn beat democratic opponent Phil Bredesen for retiring U.S. Senator Bob Corker’s Senate seat.

Blackburn’s website describes her as a “conservative with a record for accomplishment” and says she will “fight for Tennessee families every day.”

Issues that Blackburn stands for:

Biggest issue facing Tennesseans: Keeping the economy going from the GOP tax cuts

The Deficit: Hopes to help cut the deficit

Health Care: Wants to do away with the Affordable Care Act

Immigration: "We need the border wall. We need to protect our nation's sovereignty."

Refugees: "There is a group that need to be at the top of the list: the men and women that work with our military and state department."

Guns: "I support keeping guns from mentally ill individuals. The NRA gives me an A rating."

Infrastructure: "When Phil was governor, he drained the road fund. If you're sitting in traffic, Bredesen is the reason."

Free Press: "I do not think that the press is the enemy of people. I think it is vitally important."

Foreign Policy, NATO: "NATO is an important group as long as we work together. Pres. Trump was not going to draw a red line. The Russians ran right over that."

Any Policy Regrets: Blackburn said she would have put more energy into across the board spending cuts.
