NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Former Nashville Mayor Richard Fulton has died, according to condolences tweeted out by current Nashville Mayor David Briley.
Born in Davidson County, Fulton served as mayor of Nashville from 1975 to 1987. The real estate broker and Navy veteran was elected as a Democrat to the 88th Congress and was reelected to the six succeeding Congresses, serving from 1963 to 1975.
Current Nashville Mayor Briley said he interned for Fulton's office when he was a college student.
