CODE RED: Snow showers expected overnight could make for slick commute

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — FOX 17 News is in a Code Red Weather Alert as snow showers are expected in Kentucky and Tennessee overnight.

Snow showers overnight Tuesday and a temperature dip to the upper 20s to lower 30 could result in slick spots for the morning commute.

This could result in a coating of snow in some places, mainly the Cumberland Plateau.

The best bet for a coating of snow will be in counties below in dark blue. The snow showers should stick around through late Wednesday morning.

SkyWatch17 Chief Meteorologist Katy Morgan said not all parts of the counties will see snow, but it will be scattered in spots.

The Winter Weather Advisory has also been posted for some southern KY counties.
