Musical Lineup Announced For Nashville's Drive-Thru Mass Vaccination Event

Music City is living up to its name as Nashville prepares to host a drive-thru mass vaccination event at Nissan Stadium on Saturday (March 20). To help entertain everyone in line, the city has arranged a series of live musical performances, FOX 17 reports.

It is expected that 10,000 people will receive a shot of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, clearing a path to immunity after a year of uncertainty. To help entertain everyone as they wait in line, Mayor John Cooper, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp, and the Tennessee Titans have partnered to announced a series of live performances.

The musical acts include bluegrass, country, rock, and soul, the news outlet reports. Here is the scheduled lineup for live music at the event:

"After the most difficult year in our history, vaccines are helping us turn the corner on the pandemic," said Mayor Cooper. "Nashville is famous for having world-class live music nearly everywhere you turn. I'm grateful to these artists and all our partners for adding a touch of Music City to our. March 20 vaccination event. The line to get immunized at Nissan Stadium will be the best line that anyone has waited in."

In addition to the live performances, people receiving the vaccine will be greeted by Titans cheerleaders and several of Nashville's favorite mascots, including T-Rac, Gnash, Booster, and Tempo the Coyote.
