A man dubbed as the "bloody bandit" was arrested by officers at Nashville International Airport following an alleged crime spree around Middle Tennessee last week.

Airport police recently arrested 37-year-old Ray McGhee on charges of DUI, but he is now wanted for questioning in Davidson and Cheatham Counties as well as Ashland City for reported thefts at multiple locations and a church, per WKRN. Investigators believe McGhee is responsible for breaking into a CBD store in Joelton as well as two auto thefts around Nashville.

According to police, the suspect threw a rock or piece of concrete through a window at each burglary scene before making his way throughout the store. Additionally, a serious wound on his hand left a trail of blood around the crime scene, hence the nickname "bloody bandit."

McGhee was arrested August 11 after rear-ending another driver near the airport several times while driving a stolen Ford Focus, according to an arrest report. The driver followed McGhee as he attempted to flee the scene before the suspect crashed into a curb on Hanger Lane.

While McGhee was arrested, the business affect by the crime spree continue to clean up the biohazards left behind, like Calvary Bible Church in Cheatham County, where he is said to have stolen several items and left blood on floors, carpets, equipment and door handles. So much blood was left behind, WKRN reports, that they had to cancel service on Sunday.

"We have pity for a person who would do that," said pastor David Harrell. "He needs help, but the public must be protected as well."
