The Franklin Police Department is looking to curb the retail theft that typically ticks up around the holidays. This week, the department is launching their annual "Not In Our Mall" operation. The effort has undercover and uniformed officers assigned to Cool Springs Galleria and other popular shopping areas. A Franklin PD spokesperson says they want thieves to know that they will likely get caught if they try stealing in the community and they will be "dealt with harshly" when they are.
