It looks like the Metro Nashville Police Department has a documented history of confiscating firearms from the home of Antioch High School shooter Solomon Henderson. WSMV-TV reports that Nashville officers removed two firearms from the teen's residence in 2023, saying those weapons belonged to adults he lived with and noting that they are still in the MNPD property room. It is not yet clear what prompted the confiscation. In his manifesto, Henderson claimed he owned a gun that was taken by police and his dad "took the blame for it", according to reporters. Metro police have said that the gun used in Wednesday's shooting was purchased by an individual in Arizona and was never reported stolen. They are working with the ATF to find more information on where the weapon came from.
