Summer is finally here, and as the weather continues to warm and the daylight stretches even later, it's the perfect season to spend quality time soaking in the sun outside with loved ones. And what better way to do that than with a picnic?

LoveFood searched around the country for the "most scenic picnic spots" in every state, gorgeous destinations to lay out a blanket, crack open a basket full of your favorite summertime treats, and enjoy a meal with friends and family.

According to the site, the top spot in all of Tennessee is Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With relaxing views of the surrounding natural beauty, as well as glimpses of some wandering wildlife, this place is the perfect backdrop for a memorable picnic.

Here's what the site had to say about this beautiful Volunteer State spot:

"Cades Cove valley is gorgeous in its own right, with views across meadows backed by blue-green mountains. It's also one of the best parts of the Great Smokies for viewing wildlife including black bears and groundhogs — so keep your sandwiches close and stick to the designated picnic area. Drive or cycle Cades Cove Loop, dotted with historic buildings including churches, barns, and log houses, or take the five-mile circular hike to Abrams Falls."
