A suspect involved in a shooting situation in Smyrna has been taken into custody after barricading inside a local business.
Police had surrounded Legacy Wine & Spirits near Lee Victory Parkway on reports of a man firing shots. He was later taken into custody without any reported injuries or further escalation.
The Smyrna Police Department confirmed that while the suspect is now in custody, there will still be a police presence in the area as officers continue to process the crime scene. The department assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
