Governor Bill Lee is issuing an executive order to work on local roads. The order authorized the Tennessee Department of Transportation to start clearing non-state roads. These efforts aim to help power line workers restore power to residents more quickly. This comes after a winter storm dumped snow, sleet and ice onto most of Tennessee. The storm crippled roads, downed power lines and left many local roads mostly impassable.
