Nashville Electric Service says it has restored power to all customers who can currently receive it following Winter Storm Fern. The historic ice storm knocked out electricity to more than 230,00 homes and businesses at its peak, leaving some in the dark for nearly two weeks until Saturday. NES says about 99% of customers now have power with a small number still waiting on major repairs. Crews have worked around the clock to fix the damage, as Nashville continues its broader recovery with shelters, housing help, and utility relief in place. The utility plans to undergo an accountability review after strong criticism from city and state leaders.
