Bonnette A. Dawson, President and CEO Old Hickory Credit Union

Bonnette Dawson, a life-long resident of Greenbrier, Tennessee, graduated from Greenbrier High School, studied business in the Associate Degree program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Dawson began her career with KPMG Accounting firm, then worked in Human Resources as a Benefits Specialist at DuPont. She has been with Old Hickory Credit Union since 1975 and became the President/CEO in 1999.

I have been President of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of Credit Unions; three times Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Credit Union League the state-wide trade association; served on Volunteer Corporate Credit Union Product Council; recognized by Nashville Business journal as a leader in the credit union industry; named Woman of the Year by Madison-Old Hickory Business & Professional Women’s Club with a Joint House Resolution by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee; served on the Advancement Board of Belmont University; article published nationwide in the newsletter of Financial Management Solutions, Inc. a time management company; Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Association of DuPont Credit Unions for eight years, a member of the Task Force of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions for the State of Tennessee since 1999, and was inducted into the Tennessee Credit Union Hall of Fame in 2017.
I love my church, family and work and do get involved.I have diligently worked for Greenbrier since 1994 serving as an Alderman/Vice Mayor while serving on Greenbrier’s Planning & Zoning Board and Park Board during the time Louise Martin Park was being developed.I have been the Mayor of Greenbrier, Tennessee since 2014 and serve on the Metropolitan Planning Organization for Middle Tennessee.I am a member of the Executive Committee of the Joint Economic Development Board for Robertson County Tennessee.I am currently serving as the Vice Chair of the Portland Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Board.
My husband, W. I. and I are members of First Baptist Church Greenbrier where I taught 6th grade Sunday School for 23 years, served on the Finance Committee and chaired a special fund raising committee for a building program.I am on the Personnel Committee and served as chairman for eight years, and am a member of the choir.Our daughter, Bethany, also graduated from Greenbrier High and the University of Tennessee.She is married to Jeff Ballard, they have two sons, Grant and Ethan.
