David Thorpe, Co-Founder and CEO of Upperline Health

David Thorpe is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Upperline Health, the nation’s largest provider network dedicated to specialty value-based care. From its initial clinic in Hoover, Alabama, Thorpe has led the growth of Upperline Health to treat 350,000 patients annually by over 200 doctors across 150 locations in 7 states. In January 2023, the Company launched Upperline Plus, its Accountable Care Organization (ACO) REACH program.

Prior to starting Upperline Health in 2017, Thorpe served as Vice President of Operations at Aspire Health where he was one of the first employees to help build the nation’s largest palliative care practice that took risk on complex end of life patients.

In addition to work at Aspire, Thorpe has also provided practice management consulting to orthodontic/dental groups looking to expand their footprint through acquisition and de novo growth. Prior to that, he served in the Governor of Tennessee’s administration where he started and led the Customer Focused Government effort that worked on improving government operations across all cabinet departments.

Thorpe holds a BA in History from Princeton University.
