A fantastic pair of flying saucer photos, a possible ghost encounter filmed by a home security system, and another serial cat shaver on the prowl in England were among the weird and wondrous stories to cross our desk this past week.
Two rather intriguing UFO cases popped up on our radar this past week. First, in Argentina, a pair of photos taken by some tourists provided a remarkably clear view of what seemed to be a flying saucer cruising over a lake. The odd object was only spotted in the images when the group returned to their hotel later that day as they never noticed the weird anomaly during their trip. Meanwhile, in China, multiple people reported seeing two strange strings of light that appeared in the sky over a city. Several witnesses managed to capture the peculiar anomalies on film from various perspectives, though local authorities claimed they knew nothing about the puzzling mass sighting.

A pair of decidedly different doorbell camera videos wound up in the news this past week beginning with some spooky footage from England. After returning from a walk, Jackie Batt was contacted by her neighbor about a strange scene picked up by her security system. In the footage, Batt can be seen crossing paths with another woman who subsequently vanished into thin air. The stunned walker had no recollection of the stranger, who appeared to be dressed in clothing from the 1940s, and suggested that she could have been a spirit. Later in the week, a doorbell camera in Florida captured the moment when a miscreant riding a lawnmower went on a rampage and crashed into multiple mailboxes.

One of the weirder class of cases we've chronicled over the years is that of serial cat shavers. Like a villain from a horror movie, these clipper-wielding miscreants seem to emerge once a year to strike fear into the hearts of pet owners. Sadly, this past week saw the return of the phenomenon as police in a small British community sounded the alarm about a serial cat shaver who had been prowling around in recent weeks. As one might imagine, cops were not too pleased with the ne'er-do-well, lamenting that their antics were traumatizing to both the animals and their owners while also promising to prosecute the pest should they catch the phantom groomer.
