Over the weekend, members of Antifa demanded that iconic Portland bookstore, Powell’s Books, not sell Andy Ngo’s new book ““Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy” which is slated for release in February.
Antifa has targeted Ngo for investigating and reporting on their violence. Portland's KOIN-TV reports that Ngo:
“…rose to national prominence as an outspoken critic of antifa, after activists allegedly attacked him for documenting a milkshake-themed protest in Portland in 2019. His articles and posts showing street brawling and riots here and across the country have gained him conservative fans and far left enemies.”
Yesterday, several members showed up outside of the bookstore in an effort to further intimidate them.
Around noon, Powell’s Books put out a statement saying Ngo’s book will not be carried in stores and they “will not promote it” but it will remain in their online catalog. They add a chickensh*t line that “we carry a lot of books we find abhorrent, as well as those that we treasure.”
That's not good enough for members of Antifa who vow to show up at the bookstore and harass them everyday until they take it off their online catalog.
