Bible Sales Surged Following Murder of Charlie Kirk

Per the WSJ, Bible sales soared following the shooting of conservative political activist, author and Founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk. Through the first nine months of the year, Bible sales were up 11% compared with the same period last year.

Sales of Bibles soared in the weeks after the fatal shooting of conservative political activist and author Charlie Kirk.
There were 2.4 million Bibles sold in the U.S. in September, a 36% jump over the same month of 2024, according to book tracker Circana BookScan.
It marked the biggest month of Bible sales so far this year.
“September brought a wave of troubling events—violence, geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty—underscoring a pattern: In times of crisis, more people turn to faith for comfort and support,” said Brenna Connor, an analyst at Circana BookScan.
